Discover & Fun Phase

$330 per term (10 weeks)

Term 1 Dates (2026)

Week starting 20th January – Week ending 5th April

Program Details

Ages: 5–8 years (Beginners)

Class Size: 6:1 Player to Coach

The Discover & Fun phase is designed to introduce young children to golf in a way that is engaging, active and confidence-building. This phase focuses on helping kids move well, learn basic golf skills and, most importantly, love the game.

What We Focus On

At this age, children are developing coordination, balance and basic motor skills. Our coaching reflects this by combining simple technical fundamentals with movement and play.

Key areas include:

  • Golf fundamentals: grip, stance, posture and ball position
  • Athletic movement: balance, coordination, running, jumping and throwing
  • Confidence building: learning through success-based activities
  • Communication & social skills: working with coaches and other kids
  • Fun games & challenges that keep children engaged and motivated

Sessions are structured, but playful—ensuring kids associate golf with enjoyment and success.

Learn & Play Phase

$495 per term (10 week)

Term 1 Dates (2026)

Week starting 20th January – Week ending 5th April

Program Details

Ages: 9–12 years (Players who have been through Fun Phase or some established golf practice)

Class Size: 6:1 Player to Coach

The Learn & Play phase is designed to help players build, understand and refine swing mechanics, while learning how to practice the new skills and when they will be needed. While enjoyment remains important, this stage introduces greater technical detail.

What We Focus On

In the Learn & Play Phase, players are ready to move beyond basic fundamentals and begin understanding how the golf swing works.

Key areas include:

  • Developing strong swing mechanics: club path, swing plane, face control and impact basics
  • Stronger fundamentals under structure: grip, posture, alignment and ball position reinforced through repetition
  • Station-based training: focused learning stations designed to isolate and improve specific skills
  • Ball control & shot patterns: start understanding what and how to adjust ball flight
  • Applied learning: transferring practice station skills into challenges and course-based scenarios
  • Continued athletic development: balance, coordination and speed suited to growth stage

Players are guided to understand what they are working on, why it matters, and how to improve it.

The Learn & Play phase bridges the gap between fun discovery and performance development—building technical understanding, purposeful practice habits and confident young golfers ready for the next stage of their journey.

Train & Compete Phase

$530 per term (10 week)

Term 1 Dates (2026)

Week starting 20th January – Week ending 5th April

Program Details

Ages: approx 10–15 years (Regularly playing and practicing)

Class Size: 6:1 Player to Coach

The Train & Compete phase aligns with the TPI Train Phase, where golf begins to move from participation toward performance and competitive development. At this stage, players are more physically, cognitively and emotionally ready to train with greater purpose, structure and accountability.

Golf is no longer just about learning skills—it’s about developing a repeatable process, improving performance behaviours and learning how to compete effectively.

What We Focus On

The Train Phase is where players develop the tools required to perform under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.

Key areas include:

  • Refining movement patterns: improving swing efficiency, sequencing and consistency
  • Increasing shot repertoire: learning to shape shots (draws and fades), control trajectory and manage distance
  • Further improvement and application of existing skills: what skills do we know and how do we execute them
  • Course strategy & decision-making: playing to strengths, managing risk and scoring smarter
  • Mental skills development: focus, emotional control, routines and resilience
  • Physical development: strength, mobility and speed appropriate to growth and maturation
  • Competition preparation: pre-round planning, post-round reflection and learning from outcomes

A strong emphasis is placed on how players train and think, not just the results they achieve.

The Train & Compete programme develops skilled, resilient and self-aware golfers—equipped with the technical ability, mindset and habits needed for competitive golf and long-term performance pathways.
